A Guide To The Best Of San Francisco

Terrific Trees, Smart Shopping

November 05, 2018

San Francisco always offers its visitors an abundant array of activities and events, and this month is no exception, so check out this list of a few of our favorites. First, don’t miss two of the city’s best tree lighting celebrations. On November 21, Pier 39 will feature their annual celebration with lots of songs, live musical performances, and a 60-foot tree to add to the holiday magic. Next, head over to Union Square Park to see an 83-foot-tall tree bedecked with more than 1,100 ornaments and more than 30,000 twinkling lights at the Macy’s Great Tree Lighting on November 23.

Lastly, if you’ve never been to “TreasureFest,” you’re in for a real treat. This the ideal spot to pare down your holiday shopping list. This year’s final market of the season, dubbed “Snowvember,” will happen November 24-25, and will feature around 400 curated vendors with such items as antiques, jewelry, vintage collectibles, custom-designed, and artisan crafted items, along with food trucks, live music, kids games, adult cocktails, and free photos with Santa. There will also be SNOW – 20 tons of it will fall from the sky, and that alone is worth showing up for!
