February is a Fabulous Month for Wine

February 04, 2019

This month, make wine a priority, with two special events to indulge both you and your valentine. First, make your plans now to attend the 18th Annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center on February 16. This is the largest competition of Northern American wines, and you can sample from over 7,000 entries with an assortment of fine foods. The grand tasting will feature top professional wine judges, who will choose the award-winners from among a cornucopia of varietals.

Next, climb aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train for an exquisite ride in a vintage setting to a land where the grape is grown. This elegant and luxurious adventure is an ideal couple’s activity for Valentine’s Day, or for any romantic occasion. Select from an evening or day trip, lunch or dinner, or a dining journey or winery tour. Depending on which option you select, your journey may include such deluxe amenities as a three-hour train tour of the Napa Valley, a multi-course gourmet meal, a winery tour and tasting, and even a strolling violinist! Tours are available daily February 14-17.
