A Guide To The Best Of San Francisco

26th Annual Easter Parade & Spring Celebration

April 03, 2017

Fabulous food, entertainment, and special activities for the little ones have made this popular community Easter celebration a 26-year tradition. Many of the Bay area’s most celebrated restaurants will be featuring their signature menu items in the outdoor bistro. Rides and games for the kids will be available, including a large bounce, a climbing wall, pony rides, a petting zoo, and other children’s activities. Local musicians will be laying down some first-rate tunes, and colorfully costumed characters will be competing for awards. Don’t miss the Easter Parade. Billed as the "Biggest Little Parade in San Francisco", it’s packed with marchers, colorful characters, cows on rollerblades, floats (some self-propelled), and even the big bunny himself. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until 5:00 p.m. At 11:15 a.m., the judges will select the winners of the Easter Bonnet Contest, along with such titles as Best in Show, Best Pet, Best Merchant, Best Couple, Best Family, and Most Comical. The parade begins at 2:00 p.m., and all competitors will receive their awards at 3:15 p.m. on the Main State at Buchanan.
